How to Open MS Office Accounting 2009 file on a different computer without first detaching it.

It is easy to do IF you first detach the database, and the process is outlined in a MSKB article, But this process **REQUIRES** you have first detached the database on the first computer. Unfortunately, I forgot to do that before I copied the files; and now I am a few hundred miles away from computer #1.
Is there any process that will allow opening this database on computer #2 without having first "detached" it on computer #1?

Maybe we can work around this by using a script to repeat the detach steps.
For help about how to write a script, try post to: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/ITCG/threads/

Since I use the program infrequently, and travel between locations less often, this could work for the future. I could write a script to detach it before doing my backup, and re-attach it on opening the program. Doesn't help now. But, fortunately, I was able to recover from an old local backup, and reproduce what I had done at the other location.
Thanks for the idea.
