Office 2010 system requirements/installation on Windows 2003

Hi,
I've found contradictory information pertaining to the operating system requirements for Office 2010.
On this TechNet web page, I see that installation of Office 2010 on Windows Server 2003 requires SP2 + MSXML 6. However, I've seen other sources of information that say that Windows 2003 requires R2 (i.e., Windows 2003 without R2 isn't supported). I wanted to make sure if Windows Server 2003 without R2 is supported or not (obviously, with SP2 + MSXML 6).
