Are there any guidelines or a list of prerequisites for attaching a Surface Pro to Exchange 2003 on a Small Business Server?
Can Outlook Anywhere or OWA be used?

I have not got the information about Outlook for Surface Pro. For logic, Surface Pro is based on Intel X86 architecture, RPC over http (Outlook Anywhere) & OWA should be working fine. But I cannot comfirm whether Outlook on Surface Pro supports MAPI or Exchange SyncActive Service. (It seems Surface RT only supports EAS profile. )
(BTW, Outlook 2013 doesn't support Exchange 2003 any longer.)
You can post a thread to the forum for Surface to get more help. Thanks.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013 10:27 AMI ended up installing Office 2010 on the Surface Pro and I was able to connect to the Exchange 2003 on our SBS 2003 server via Outlook Anywhere.
