blank box in live meeting

I've got a completely blank white box in Live Meeting 2007 R2 when joining a meeting. I can join the meeting but cannot see anything being shared. Using Windows 7.

Anyone have any suggestions? I tried to reinstall last week and it did not fix the problem.

Has anyone had issues with the Live Meeting 2007 generating an error code when trying to send the invitation from within the Live Meeting add-in with Outlook 2010?

I get the error that asked "...contact administrator..." but after returning to the LM screen I can then send the invitation successfully.

Is there any plan to upgrade LM from 2007 to 2010? I have not seen anything from MS regarding this.

Branding the Live Meeting

Hey folks, I'm not finding too much through the search function here so I help you folks can help me out.

Is there a way to "brand" the container window of a Live Meeting session? Getting presenters to insert a footer into their PPTs isn't really going to happen, but if it was possible to be able to add a logo or something to the session itself, that'd be great.

Are there any resources that explain this ability?

How do I take control of attendee's desktop in Live Meeting?

I need to help a customer configure some stuff on one of their servers. I can see their desktop using Live Meeting but I'd like to be able to then open a VNC session from their desktop to help them out, we just can't figure how he can allow me as the presenter to take control of his desktop.

I am testing the Live Meeting 2007 recording feature. It records everything but the mouse pointer. Needless to say a person who's watching the recording needs to guess what's going on. Is this a bug?

This transition enables Microsoft to:

· Manage services in a 550,000 square-foot data center designed for high-resiliency and availability.

· Help ensure a high level of network performance, throughput, and better fault-tolerance for Office Live Meeting customers via a high-performance and robust network architecture.

· Support future service growth with a dynamically scalable computing environment.

· Leverage a highly energy-efficient data center at 1.25 Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) compared to industry average of 2.4 PUE. This data center uses outside air for 95% of the cooling before using any mechanical or refrigerated cooling.

Friday, November 13, 2009 - All Office Live Meeting customers in the UK data center (GB2) will migrate to the new Dublin data center (DB3) during the standard Friday maintenance window.

The UK data center (GB2) will be decommissioned in December 2009.

Impact to customers/partners:

This transition should be seamless to customers and partners. All user accounts, meeting, and recording content will be retained, and users will continue to access their conference centers through the www.livemeeting.com/cc/<alias> or company portal URL.

Action is required for those customers who have opened ports on their proxy servers and firewalls specifically for Live Meeting IP address ranges. Specifically, the IP address ranges will need to be updated to ensure Live Meeting users continue to experience a top quality meeting experience.

New IP addresses will be available via KB Article 951650 after 11/13/09. If you or your customers have questions regarding the new IP addresses, please contact Live Meeting Support.

Can't send Live Meeting notices

I have Office 2007 with Live meeting installed. Was working fine until recently. I can still send regular meeting notices. But now, if I try to send a Live Meeting notice, it "hangs" in the Outbox and won't send. I can continue to send regular e-mail and meeting notices. Live Meeting never sends. I've reinstalled it twice with only temporary success.

Any ideas what's happening and how to fix it? Thanks

Hello,
We purchased Livemeeting 2007 through a reseller in the US (we're in San Francisco, CA).
We had some contract-related problems with them.
Is there a specific Microsoft person, phone number, etc I could contact about this?
I've asked a number of Microsoft staff about this, but no one has been able to route me to the correct person.

I have had several recent experiences with Live Meeting choking and puking. I start to run a meeting and WHAM! The Live Meeting experience hangs, a process called PWConsole.exe consumes 50% of my CPU (one full core) and my laptop comes to a halt. I can usually limp along, but without the use of Live Meeting until a reboot.

Once Live Meeting is shut down, explorer.exe takes over at throttling the CPU until reboot. I can use Alt-Tab to switch between existing applications but all Windows Explorer features are toast. I cannot use Start key, task bar and task tray are dead, no right-clicking on anything except what is available in OPEN application windows. If I close them, I cannot re-open them until a reboot.

So... I have a couple of questions for the forum:

1) Has anyone else encountered this behavior? If so, what did you do to address it?
2) Precisely what processes are spawned by or used by Live Meeting? If I know this, I may be able to clean up after it pukes on me.

Any and all assistance would be MUCH appreciated!

Live Meeting not working after Domain change

Our company recently changed Domains. Now the Live Meeting toolbars are gone in Outlook. Also, I'm not able to re-install the LM 2007 client or add-in. The install hits a point and rolls back. Has anyone seen this before? I'm wondering if this is connected to a license issue. Thanks

Is there trainin and/or techniques available that provides for how to keep LiveMeeting attendees engaged and present? I've had several customers ask for some help with this topic asa they leverage LM more in their organizations.
Major concern stems from the fear that people are not "Tuned Into the Meeting" as they would be if it were a in person meeting.

I am trying to watch a Technet Webcast - Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure (http://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/WebCastEventDetails.aspx?EventID=1032264118&EventCategory=3&culture=en-US&CountryCode=US)

On Friday I went through the steps of registering and everything to view it and when I get to the final page I get errors about Office Live Meeting:

Today I get basicly the same results but instead of 'Failure' it says 'Pending'

Live Meeting 2007 Needs to Support "Fit To Page" With Shared Desktop

Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 needs to support automatic stretching/shrinking of the leader's shared desktop and all their running applications with the virtual attendee machines. In order to be a viable alternative to WebEx (which already supports this), Microsoft needs to add this feature. We'd prefer to use a Microsoft solution but may be forced to go with an alternative.

I work for a CPLS (Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions). We are using a high resolution desktop (1920 x 1080) against a touch screen SMART Board in order to teach virtual classes for SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 with C# and VB. During the training delivery, we will (often times) open Visual Studio to demonstrate coding and examples. The practice of uploading PPTXs, DOCXs, and HTML pages (which can be stretched/shrunk) is not enough for us to deliver quality training.

**Note that this is only a problem for our students whose machines do not support the minimum 16:9 resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I believe other folks are experiencing this same problem, thus the previous asked questions about "Fit to Page." I appreciate Microsoft's Support team for their answers. They were quite helpful. Thank you.

Are there other options I am not aware of to enable the use of Live Meeting 2007? Thank you for any feedback and/or suggestions.

What sort of downloads and add-ons do I need to get to play the recorded demonstrations on a virgin computer that does not even have Office installed on it? And where do I get these downloads? Can you give me the web sites?

for a while i have been presenting web casts through livemeeting successfully but now i am running into an issue that i dont understand: my recording are not released to the public but rather stay in 'pending' status. i have no idea how to get them out, can anyone give me some pointers here?

Problem with live meeting recordings

Hi;

I have recorded live meeting sessions. I saved those recording on my local machine.
I have tried to replay my existing recorded sessions again, but I am only able to hear the audio but I can not see the video recording. When I searched the recording directory I have found the video i.e. wmv file as well. But when I replay the meeting it only plays audio and does not play audio and video simultaneously. Can anyone help me what is wrong with my live meeintg.

Hi,

We do a number of webcasts a month via Live Meeting. We would like to make these recording available in a modern, user-friendly way. Neither of the two available recording options fit this billl. The WMV cannot be streamed and the recording console is too formal, limited in its usage scenarios and not really suited to a scenario where you have multiple recordings.

The ideal solution is YouTube or Soapbox; however, YouTube doesn't let you upload anything longer than 10 minutes and Soapbox just isn't reliable enough (doesn't seem to be able to handle anything longer than 25-30 minutes). We are investivating a commmercial solution with Viddler and this seems very promising - but we would like to fully consider all our options before comitting to this.

Has anyone else has any success in this area? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, does anyone know if LiveMeeting have considered providing such a service to their user base, and if not, why not?

Has anyone created a recording in which webcams and or Roundtable camera were used alsong with powerpoint presentations and other traditional Live Meeting components? I have been tasked with recording a meeting that would have 2 of the leaders in our company join together to give some "pre-read" to participants of a Global Virtual meeting we will be having in 2 weeks. We are doing th recording in 1 week and I have no idea if this will work or how we can edit the files that come from the recording. We are using 2007 version of Live meeting internally on our own servers. Would love any help at all on this as quickly as possible

I have a trial Live Meeting account and I want to try out the provided API for programmatic access to LM.

On the page located at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd230011.aspx it is said that before using the API one must obtain a certificate from Microsoft Online. Now, the problem is when I try to add the web reference to the WSDL located at https://lm.microsoftonline.com/lmwebservice.asmx?wsdl it asks for a user and password.

I tried my live ID user and pass, which I used to register for the LM trial, but I can't authenticate. All I get is a "Sign in was denied". Also, I tried to change the password for the live ID I'm using, but without any success.

Has anybody tried this, or is it possible with a trial account?

I'm using Microsoft office 2003. when I accept the invitation which come with attactment, I not able to see the attachment in calender. I have try to uninstall and install back live meeting and also the adds-on. It's not help. I also already apply for the hotfix. It not help also. Hope some expert can help me on that. Thanks.

ActiveX File Upload Error

Hello All,
I've been wrestling with this issue for a couple of days now. I am trying to upload presentation materials (ppt, doc, etc) from our live meeting customer login website. I select the appropriate meeting and then the 'Upload Files' option on the right side of page.

I then receive the activeX warning about installing the uploader application/plugin:

The install seemingly goes smooth, and for a brief moment shows the correct browse for files button. However, it quickly goes back to display:

I have tried it all, reinstalls, activeX settings, java updates, explorer updates, etc. It just seems as though something is blocking the apllication/plugin from running.

Hello , All!!
I can't see Microsoft Office Live Meeting recorded webcast in IE7. I've tried both online and downloaded version with the same negative result. I can see presentation in Mozilla Firefox but without audio (( Replay Wrapper was installed successfully.
Error message screenshot - http://i39.tinypic.com/hx0uxe.gif . If I click OK presentation shuts down. I am using WXP SP3.
Any suggestions?

· On the “Summary Report” page, under the “For Last 12 Months” section, what constitutes “Number of Distinct Meeting User Names”? What is the definition of that term?

· On the “Member List” report, what constitutes a “Current” meeting? What is the timeframe attached to a “Current” meeting? My customer has Content / Meeting Expiration set for 1 day on their CC and they have users with “Current” meetings showing at 8 +.

Though i have dedicated 1 Mbps connection, i face some issue with voice and video if i invite participants outside my organization premise or join meetings organized outside my office premise. My voice and video test is fine. My all test session done internally had very good results. Could some one help me to find out where exactly the problem could be? Do we need to open any specific ports or do we have to provide any unrestricted access to any of the site?
