Unanswered Live meeting conference addin not getting install and enabled in Outlook 2007

    Hi Experts,

    I am facing issue with the installation of ConfAddins_Setup.exe. I am getting error "The installation could not be completed. Click close to exit and then try again."

    can you provide me the cause and fix for it.

    Hello,

     

    Install the Live Meeting add-in in Clean Boot Mode:

     

    Clean Boot

    =============

    Let's disable all startup items and third party services when booting.

     

    1. Click "Start", type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) in the search box to start the System Configuration Utility.

    2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).

    3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".

    4. Click "OK" to restart your computer to Selective Startup environment.

    5. Run "Outlook.exe /safe" (without the quotation marks) to start the Outlook safe mode.

    6. Check if the issue persists.

     

    If it persists:

     

    Collect installation log files

    ===================================

     

    1. Please click "the Start Button", type in "%windir%\panther" and press the Enter key.

    2. Locate the "setupact.log" and "setuperr.log" files and copy them to the Desktop.

    3. Click "Start", type in "%windir%\INF" and press the Enter key.

    4. Locate the "setupapi.app.log" file and see if there are any more detailed error message in it.

    Thanks for your reply but did not find "%windir%\panther" to get "setupact.log" and "setuperr.log" and did not find "setupapi.app.log" in "%windir%\INF"
