How do we Fit To Page or Resize Shared Content?

If someone is sharing their desktop, and I am viewing, I see there is an option to fit to page or full screen. However, fit to page and zoom controls are grayed out and full screen doesn’t automatically resize the contents so your faced with scrolling up/down or left/right to see what the presenter is doing.
We have lots of people on different size screens (some 22” wide, 17”, 19”, etc..) so it’s very difficult to have everyone change to 1028x768.
Other meeting software allowed resizing of the screen dynamically to fit to screen.- Moved by Lu Zou-MSFT Tuesday, March 31, 2009 9:14 AM

Hi,
By default, you can use the “Fit to Page” button when the presenters have uploaded some files or shared some contents. But not all the contents sharing allow you use the “Fit to Page” button. For example, if the presenter shares a poll page, text page or web page, you will see the “Fit to page” button turns to grey. When the presenter shares a program or desktop, the button will also turn to grey. So it depends on what kinds of content the presenter wants to share.
Hope this helps

It does help to have a well explained negative answer (it's by design - not because of something we're doing wrong). So, good answer, but not the one I hoped to find! :)But it is still frustrating because the same funcationality using desktop sharing with multiple people on Communicator 2007 allows full control of window size.

Well, this is a major problem for us, with 430 users of LiveMeeting. While your answer explains the issue, it does not help at all -- we need a way to use zoom while sharing live meetings (vs. uploaded content). As somebody else mentioned, all other competing services have this ability and making live presentations to a wide audience is not possible with out the zoom, due to varied screen settings.
We are now also utilizing webex for about 150 users who absolutely need this function and are in effect double paying. Until this not resolved, I can not recommend LiveMeeting.

Monday, October 08, 2012 1:03 PMNow late in 2012 I'm in a meeting where I cannot read the little words the presenter is showing. Bummer that this is still not addressed. I cannot recommend Live Meeting either.
