Has support for Entourage EWS 2008 been silently dropped from the service.  I can no longer find any documentation related to this in any of the forums or blogs and I am no longer able to connect any users to a hosted Exchange server through this client.

    Thanks,
    Richard

I know I'm responding to my own question, but I think the componant within the hosted Exchange service that automatically configures clients is either broken or has been disabled.  I've tested this with multiple accounts using Entourage 2008 EWS, Mac Mail (Snow Leopard), and Apple iPhone (OS 3.1).  All of these clients have previously been able to automatically discover their Exchange servers and settings in the past via entering a users email address and password.  Now all fail to auto-configure and require a user to manually enter server information that isn't that easy to obtain.  Could someone from MS please address this issue?

    Thanks,
    Richard

The Sign-in Client for Mac is now available

Please review this TechNet article for further information regarding this option.

This will configure Entourage 2004, 2008 and 2008 Web Services Edition.  Mac Mail is not supported as it does not support a MAPI connection and does not support TLS outbound to support the SMTP connection required for POP3.  You do have the option to request POP3 be enabled for your user(s) and configure POP3 to download, but you will not be able to send email without TLS.

Specifically for the iPhone and other ActiveSync products, this TechNet article will guide you through it.
