    Hello:

we are trialing BPOS and have everything configured, but are now trying to configure Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile 2007 R2 on sever Windows Mobile 6.0 phones.  the install works fine, but then when trying to connect to the server, we are stuck on the domain\username entry.  We have put in our "sign-in address" (e.g. testuser@company.microsoftonline.com) and have put in the manual entries for the server names (e.g. pool1.oconline.microsoftonline.com:443).  we cannot get past the domain\username to sign in.  Have tried company.microsoftonline.com\testuser etc... but no combination works.

Is OCM 2007 R2 supported for BPOS??? (Seriously hoping yes).

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you connect to your BPOS SharePoint site, select the drop-down under your login name you can get to your settings.  You should be ablet o see your account in the form of domain\username.  I tried this in OCS Mobile & it still didn't work.  Wanted to see if you were more successful.

    Hi Joe,

At this time, Communicator Mobile is not part of the standard offering for Microsoft Online, but will be included in the next wave of Microsoft Online Services.

Any other questions, just let me know.

    Hi Joe,

Do you have any idea when this may be, I now have a number of clients looking at other VOIP Solutions due to this limitation.

    Regards

Well, what I think is Win Mobile 7 scheduled for next year will include this feature, I have also seen pre-release images of SharePoint access on WinMo7. Perhaps all other BPOS services will be accessible (this will be great). We are all also hoping that it will have some native remote desktop connector that admins can use in managing mobile devices from their desktops (of course with the security of the user granting access). Other features on the wishlist is that MS should tie ALL live services as well as other social web services into WinMobile so that all services are updated on the mobile device as well as web (some Live services as well as other social web services are already tied in as of WinMo 6.5). These are some of the reasons I am not renewing my wireless service plan until next year when WinMo 7 is scheduled for release so I can get the wireless service renewal discount on a WinMo 7 device. With WinMo being redeveloped from the ground up, the WinMo community anxiously looks forward to it.
