Unanswered Accessing external System's data

    Hi All,

    I m using sharepoint online. I want to get some data from external system to sharepoint online site.The system will keep the records as flat files, so I ll be able to get records as XML or MS excel format. So is it possible me to get these records to shrepoint using external list or are there any other best way. If so how can I update(automatically) the shrepoint list end of the business day work.

    Any hint or link much appreciate.

    Hi,

    The ability to connect to an external data source depends on what version of SharePoint Online you are using. If you are using a BPOS subscription, it is not possible to connect to an external data source. If you are using Office 365, you will need to have an Enterprise subscription and you will be able to set up a BCS connection through the Tenant Admin to connect to an external data source.
