    hi,

I have a problem about creating MP Templates on Authoring console. microsoft documents and most articels say that under authoring console under File we should select New and On the Management Pack Template page, in the Select a Management Pack Template box, select Empty Management Pack etc.

But I cannot see New under File when i open Authoring console. There is only Exit. should i install any pack to view it?

    I have SCOM 2007 R2 on Win Server 2008 R2 Standard.

    Thanks, Ahmet.

Are you talking about the stand alone authoring console, or are you talking about the Authoring pane in the Ops Console?

I think 'ım talking about Authoring pane in the Ops Console. Cause I didnt install any stand alone authoring console. Is creating MP templates appear on the stand alone one? If it is, how can i create classes and MP templates? I want to monitor our routers fan or memory etc.

Ah ok, no the template option is in the console.  However, I have never used that.  When you start this, maybe you need to create a new mp to store the template in?  Have you tried that?  Just taking a guess here.
