This message seems come from SCCM rather than SCOM.

Please check whether the alert is came from SCCM OR SCOM

    Hi Dom

Which version of SCOM are you using - maintenance mode functionality varies by version. If this is SCOM 2012 then Maintenance Mode isn't recursive so if you set windows computer into maintenance mode, it doesn't put any sub objects into maintenance mode (this has changed in SCOM 2012 SP1).

I assume this the SCCM Management Pack? If you look at the alert - what is the target for the alert?

If it is not Windows Computer and you are using SCOM 2012 then what you are seeing is "by design", a design which has been fixed in SP1.

    Cheers

    Graham

    SCOM 2007 R2.

Yes it is the SCCM Management Pack 6.0.6000.3., Target of the Rule: Microsoft ConfigMgr 2007 Site Database Servers.

All Servers are Windows Server 2003 R2 with SCCM Version 4.00.6487.2000 R3 Installed.

And the surprise it started 2 days ago without any apparent reason!!! no updates/upgrades... I am revieiwng any log I could find..

    Hi Felyjos,

Please check if the complete server(VRTSCCMS1) is in Maintenence Mode. Did you place the server in MM using script? Please Goto Monitoring->Windows Computers-> Select Server and open "Health Explorer" and expand the server to see if all Monitors are placed in Maintenance Mode. As you mentioned that it is a Rule, still I am asking to check this to ensure that if you could see if all the Tree View is in Maintenance Mode.

    Another Option:

Please check by disabling this Rule for a while and check if alerts are popping up.

    Regards, Suresh
