Network Monitoring - Ports not showing any data

Hi
I have scom 2012 sp1 running on windows 2008 r2.
I enabled network monitoring on a cisco 2900 router. It discovers fine. I needed to specifically monitor two interfaces. I added the interfaces to the critcal network adapters group. They show as enabled. There is no data received/sent information being shown. also no port usage information on the port usage statistics page:
