I am have some difficulty here and I want to get your opionion. I have setup nortifications on the basic items such as disk space. The problem is I miss other alerts that are critical because I am not getting notified on all events. I just don't seem to have my alerts and priorty setup correctly. Does anyone have a list of recommended notifications by role, for example,  Domain controllers should notify on these type of alerts, Files servers on these types of alerts. I guess I need help defining what I want to be notified on so I don't get spammed with alerts that are not really critical.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You can create groups and fill them with objects that belong to a specfic admin group and set the subcription criterea for that group. These groups can contain objects, like a disk or a windows computer. How the groups are filled depend on how the organisation functions.

    Does this answer your question?

    Regards,

    Marthijn.

Create groups which contain machine which has DC role or file server role.

Create a subscription rule which will generate an alert for raised by specific instance of DC group or file server group.
