Hi
No - it isn't a requirement although most small to medium size enterprises would likely place them together on the DataWarehouse server.
What is your architecture?
Server 1 = Management Server
Server 2 = OperationsManager database
Server 3 = OperationsManagerDW (datawarehouse) database
Server 4 = SQL Reporting Services
An example of when they would be on seperate servers is when the datawarehouse is on a SQL cluster as SQL Reporting Services is not cluster aware.
Be aware though that SQL Reporting Services will need access to a SQL DBEngine for the SQL Reporting Services databases.
Cheers
Graham

in addition to Graham reply,
here is some resources covering the topic:

Server1 = Management Server
Server2 = Management Server
Server3 & Server 4 (Cluster SQL) = OperationManager + OperationManagerDW databases
Server5 = Operations Manager Reporting ServerIn this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh298611.aspx
In this procedure, the Reporting server is installed on a stand-alone server that is hosting the SQL Server database and SQL Server Reporting Services.
So, I need to Install SQL Server Engine + SQL Reporting Services on Server5.
I can't install only Reporting Services on Server5, and Reporting Services Database on the cluster.

Hi
In general, what you state in bold would be the correct procedure:
"So, I need to Install SQL Server Engine + SQL Reporting Services on Server5.
I can't install only Reporting Services on Server5, and Reporting Services Database on the cluster."
The problem is that this is not a supported option for SCOM (even though it does work):
Although that articles relates to SCOM 2007 R2 and SQL 2005, we have had confirmation from support that the information is still valid on SQL 2008 (and on SCOM 2012).

I don't understand...
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh298611.aspx
In this procedure, the Reporting server is installed on a stand-alone server that is hosting the SQL Server database and SQL Server Reporting Services. […] No other applications that are using SQL Server Reporting Services can be installed on this instance of SQL Server.In this scenary...
Server1 = Management Server
Server2 = Management Server
Server3 & Server 4 (Cluster SQL) = OperationManager + OperationManagerDW databases (same instance)
Server5 = Operations Manager Reporting ServerCould I allocate SQL Reporting Database on Cluster SQL???
In that link makes reference to "Reporting server is installed on a stand-alone server" case, but what happend with my situation?? Is Supported?

Your case is scenario 4 from here:
It does work but it is not supported. This document still applies to SCOM 2012 and SQL 2008.

Thanks...
Why does it apply to SCOM 2012?

Because it came up a few months ago on another thread and I asked the product manager \ dev lead about it. They stated that the supported configurations as per - http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2008/03/28/operations-manager-reporting-supported-ssrs-configurations.aspx - did still apply.
This is the previous thread:

I don't understand Graham. Scenario 4 relates to a SQL failover cluster with multiple Reporting databases in a Scale-out deployment. I understand that carlosdlra's initial submission may be answered by that scenario stating that you can't install the Reporting DBs and Reporting Manager in that way. But what is the issue with his scenario below:
Server1 = Management Server
Server2 = Management Server
Server3 & Server 4 (Cluster SQL) = OperationManager + OperationManagerDW databases (same instance)
Server5 = Standalone Operations Manager Reporting Server with Reporting Database and Reporting servicesCan you elaborate because I was planning on this type of configuration? Thanks.
