Monitoring pane View in SCOM 2012 console

When we create a new management pack in the administration pane in SCOM Console, It shows Up in the monitoring pane of the console. I dont want to see them there and would rather like to have a clean monitoring console so as to keep only the required ones in the monitoring pane.
Can i delete them, how do you take care of this.
if we delete the folder from Monitoring pane , does that mean we are deleting the management pack itself.
