Unanswered Outlook 2010, Imap account, Inbox messages disappear; reload later; happens multiple times every day!

I had Outlook 2007 with no issues using IMAP account. My gmail IMAP account has no issues. However, my GoDaddy IMAP email account (also in Outlook) regularly has the Inbox messages disappear. Message by message they disappear in front of my eyes. If I close Outlook, I can stop this process. It can happen several times a day. The entire, large Inbox disappears. It takes an hour to download and populate and is very frustrating.

I re-installed Outlook and it did not help. I tried the repair function. No help. I was having a similar problem with the sent file but changed that to Sent Items file and the problem seems to have resolved itself for that folder.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Do you mean that the messages in your GoDaddy IMAP email would disappeared no matter use Web-access or Outlook?

Does this behavior occur in a new Outlook profile? Please create a new outlook profile follow the article below to test it:

Hello CalKar, I wanted to check if you were able to resolve the issue you were experiencing with Outlook connected as an IMAP account with GoDaddy?

Did new profile, as suggested by Tony helped?

    Thanks,

Messages disappearing from the Inbox?  We have a similar problem.  Running Exchange 2010 in an enterprise environment, and supporting circa 270 users on either Office 2010/ Office 2007.

One or two users (on Outlook 2010), intermittently have emails - or a series of them - disappearing and moving into the deleted items folder.  There are no rules set up.

Can anyone throw light on the subject, or point us in a direction we can investigate?

    Thanks!!!
