Outlook 2010 - Printing email from main window OK. From individual email - defaults double sided?

I have a user who has an odd printing error.  When she prints an email from the main outlook window it works fine.  When she opens the email to it's own individual window and prints from there then she gets the following pop up.  She merely clicks OK to get past it and printing works fine, but this shouldn't be happening.  This has been going on for the past week and she turns her machine off every night, so rebooting won't fix it.  I'm stumped, any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Please uncheck "Print on both sides" check box in Print Options.

In Outlook, click File > Print > Print Options > Properties.

It seems some third party program change the default settings to print on both sides.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi William,

Thanks for your reply!  Sorry I was late getting back.  Unfortunately the user's settings are not indicating that it is on double sided mode.

The most peculiar thing is how when an email is printed while viewing the inbox it does not try for double sided mode.
When you open up a specific email to its own window and print then it tries to print double sided.  Shouldn't the printer properties for Outlook be the same across the entire application?

    thanks

Have you tried resetting the printing preferences already?

You can do this by renaming OUTLPRNT to .old when Outlook is closed.

    Hi All,

We're still having this issue, but I've narrowed it down to what appears to be a non-Outlook cause.  Given the problem details below, can anyone suggest an appropriate forum that I should redirect this inquiry to?

The original server (32 bit 2003) sharing the printer is being decommissioned, so the print server responsibilities have been migrated to a 64 bit 2008 R2 machine.  Users on 32 bit XP workstations are having this error, even when printing from (certain) other applications (the applications causing this behavior vary from user to user).  When I point the users back at the old instance of the shared printer on the soon to be phased out 32 bit server, they have no problems.  The print driver is the universal PCL5.

When they go to the printer preferences of the 64 bit instance of the shared printer, the Finishing tab is blank (see below).  When they go to this tab on the 32 bit instance of the shared printer, it is fully populated with print options.

Thanks again for the help on where I should take this issue!
