Prerequisites: Copy the media locally, Install 2005 and 2008 x86 C++ redistributables from source media before sequencing (avoiding an error installing design review)

Sequencing
1) Log on with administrative credentials (ensure the prerequisites are installed (listed above) before starting the sequencer)
2) Open the App-V 4.6 SP1 Sequencer
3) On the Tools menu, click Options, click the Exclusion Items tab.
4) Delete the exclusions for %CSIDL_LOCAL_APPDATA% and %CSIDL_PROFILE%\Local Settings
5) Click OK
Begin Packaging Method
6) Select Create a New Virtual Application Package (Click No to save template)
7) Select Create Package (Default) then click Next
8) Ensure System is ready to create a virtual package, no issues were detected, then click Next
Type of Application
9) Select Standard Application (default) then click Next
Select Installer
10) Browse to application installation file and click Open
11) Click Next
Package Name
12) Type the Virtual Application Package Name
13) Click Next
Application Installation
- Select Autodesk Design Review 2010 if also installing this component and click Next
- Agree to the EULA and click Next
- Enter the Serial number, Product key, the required First name, Last name, Organization, and click Next
- Select the button to Configure the application
- (Optional) Select Custom (to ensure all components are installed)
- Change the AutoCAD desination directory to the designated subdirectory off the root of Q:
- Click Next (to download the service pack)
- Click Download to download the latest service pack (requires internet access)
- Click the Configuration Complete button on the bottom of the page (allowing the design review component to install to its default location) (avoiding an issue later opening the completed Design Review application if it shares the same Q: directory as AutoCAD)
- Click Install
- Uncheck the two Readme checkboxes and click Finish
Installation
14) Select I am finished installing
15) Click Next
Configure Software
16) Click Next (unless setting up first feature block which was not tested)
Installation Report
17) Check the error report by double-clicking any entries.
18) Click Next
Customize
19) Select Stop Now
20) Click Next
Create Package
21) Select Continue to modify package...
22) Click Close
OSD Modification
23) Click the Deployment tab and select Compress Package (optional), then select the Virtual Services tab, double-click the FLEXnet... service, change the Startup type to Automatic, and Save the Package (avoiding an error in the Event Log)
