Welcome to the App-V Sequencing forum!

Manita Sharma Monday, April 05, 2010 3:45 PM

Most applications can be sequenced using App-V Sequencer without requiring any special steps. However, there are some third-party and Microsoft applications that require special steps in order to be properly sequenced and work with App-V.

In the past, members of the product team would regularly post instructions for sequencing particularly for the difficult applications. Recently we have been receiving requests from our customers to have one common community forum for sharing information.

We’re listening and we are glad that you are talking!  Based on the enormous feedback, we are extremely pleased to announce the launch of a new community driven Recipe Forum on Microsoft TechNet. This forum is intended for App-V IT Pros within the App-V community to share their best practice recipes in an effort to grow everyone’s knowledge, expertise and save each other time by learning together.   This allows our new members to ramp faster and our experts to shine and show their depth of knowledge!

You can now view prescriptive sequencing recipes for more than X applications that have been provided by a few experienced packagers from the App-V community. The Community is only successful if all members are contributing.  We have responded to your request, now we need you to respond to ours!  PLEASE CONTRIBUTE YOUR RECIPES TO THE COMMUNITY!   We hope that even more App-V users will contribute and use the content on the forum to sequence more applications!

If you have any questions, please contact the team at appvsite@microsoft.com.
