    Hi,

    We have just istalled hotfix "project2010kb2597942fullfilex86glb" to our pc's and are now experiencing problems when saving files & updating the linked resource pool.

    Windows XP pc's are fine, however all our Windows 7 pc's will not save files linked to resource pools they crash when updating the resource pool. We are able to "save as" on windows 7 machines but that is it.

    Any one have any ideas?

    Further more we have now uninstalled this hotfix from our windows 7 machines and all is fine again.

    Hi Steve,

    The KB Article of hotfix has listed the "Issues" fixed by this hotfix, it is also suggsted by the Team to install hotfix only if you have the lsited issues, if you don't have those issues you should avoid installing the hotfix; it is still under process of testing. Please read under Resolution Tab of the KB. Hope you can do without Hotfix, as you said after removing it you were able to properly save the files. As of now you can wait for more updates on the hotfix.

    Thanks for the reply it was installed as advised by a user on this forum. No matter all seems fine now.

    Steve this is very helpful. A customer installed Microsoft Project 2010 without Project Server. We setup a resource pool and their projects. Imagine my embarassment when we couldn't save Project files. Its good to know others are having the same problem.
