Respondida Team Planner annoyance

    Build 4734  Team Planner issue
I create 4 tasks with the first two linked and the second pair linked to produce two over-lapping pairs of tasks. All tasks automatically scheduled. I assign the same resource to all 4 tasks at 100% so I have an over allocation.

In the team planner view I drag a task from the over-allocated resource down to a second resource. I repeat for a second task and now the original resource is no longer over-allocated - as expected.

The annoyance is that the tasks that had their resource changed now have a Date constraint. The start date for the task has not changed and there is no need for it to change and I don't expect/want it to change.

Expected behavior is that dragging the task from one resource to another should not change anything else (though depending on Resource calendar etc, the finish date may well change). If I have to reset the constraint to ASAP every time then the Team Planner creates work for me and is therefore of limited use (except as an interesting View/Report).

    Can this be fixed?

    Hello Rod,

I can not reproduce this problem with Build 4536.

Everything looks normal through your operation steps.

    Rod,

You may want to drop this to Connect as I think that's where comments about build 4734 are being collected.
