My Company provides hosted services across multiple platforms that enables publishers(books, magazines, legal documents, etc.) to have content(pdf, word, excel, powerpoint) distributed to subscribers. We allow the content to exist anywhere. We have a permission server that must be accessbile for the subscribers to have access to the content. We have built everything from the gound up using SQL. We are always looking to leverage microsoft technologies. It is very hard to keep track of all the new stuff that is going on at Microsoft and even harder to understand how it all plays together in a heterogenus platform environment. So can anyone tell me of new Microsoft technologies that we could leverage without having to pull a multitude of Microsoft technologies to do it?

I guess you are looking for complete security for your infrastructure.
Microsoft has Infrastructure Optimization Models that covers the entire IT related infrastructure, allow you to identify and choose specific upgrades you want to make for your infrastructure, and see what advantages this will have.
For your case, you should be particularly looking into the Core Infrastructure Optimization (http://www.microsoft.com/optimization/model/CoreIO.mspx) that talks about improving your Core Infrastructure, includes Datacenters, Client Systems, Identity and Security related issues, and other process that you should improve to have a developing/developed infrastructure.
You can use the self-assessment tool identify what exactly you need, and how much it will benefit you. (http://www.microsoft.com/optimization/leftNav/optimization.mspx)
