Reset all crawled content source command
- Hello World !
When you use "reset all crawled content", you flush content sources log and profiles import log.
Is it possible to separate logs for content sources and logs for import profiles ? It would be a good thing in order to establish dashboards or monitoring for troubleshooting.
Is it possible to flush only log content for content sources or import log ? (with criterias or query)
Thanks for your ideas / help
Regards,
Have a nice day !

Hi RHUM2,
There is no way to separate logs for content sources and logs for import profiles with SharePoint OOB features.
I understand your requirement is to find a way to monitoring and analysis the logs.
You could investigate the 3rd party solution: STSADM ExportCrawlLog
For more information, please refer to:
· Introducing the ExportCrawlLog STSADM Command Extension
· Using the ExportCrawlLog STSADM Extension
Hope the information can be helpful.

- Hi Lambert !
Thanks for your response.
I downloaded this STSADM Extension ad I installed it: no problem.
Now with the different commands, I can extract two logs: one for "ProfileImport" and one for "Portal_Content". It's very easy now to use it for troubleshooting and I can use "LogParser" to make some queries... Greats tools.
Regards,
Have a nice day !
