Pertanyaan WSS 3.0: Unable to view groups.aspx - "The page you selected refers to a view that does not exist"

    Hi,

I have a WSS 3.0 implementation with a web application that contains two site collections; the root site collection http://<webapp> and one other that is accessed via a managed path, http://<webapp>/projects/ds/.

    When I try to list the groups via the /projects/ds site I get an error;

    http://<webapp>/projects/ds/_layouts/groups.aspx

Error: "View does not exist. The page you selected refers to a view that does not exist.  It may have been deleted by another user. "

However, if I try to access the same groups.aspx page from the root site collection, it works fine.

    http://<webapp>/_layouts/groups.aspx

If I look under the web site in IIS Manager, groups.aspx clearly exists in the _layouts folder. I'm assuming that under both instances, I am trying to access the same file? Has anyone else had this problem? This is proving a real pain as there are groups within that site that I need to manage regularly.

    Any guidance appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi,

Whether you were able to view groups.aspx before for the project/ds site or this is the first time you are trying to view this?

Do you have any subsites defined under project/ds site?

If you try to view thsi page from there what happens?

    Hi Rahul,

I'm unable to verify whether or not groups.aspx was viewable ever worked, but my assumption is that it did. The problem exists for this site collection and all subsites created beneath it (and new sites if I create them).

    Thanks,

    Steve

Looks like an AAM issue (Alternate Access Mapping) ,  check with alternate access mapping settings

Also try creating a new view under http://<webapp>/projects/ds/ and check.

    Hi,

Execute sharepoint configuration wizard and check if it fixes your problem.
