Move all databases to new SQL Server 2005<p>Hi,</p> <p>I need to move all my SQL Server 2005 databases to fresh SQL Server 2005 and connect to production sharepoint application server.<br/><br/>Reason:I dont have enough disk space in SQL Server 2005.<br/><br/>Below are my understanding.<br/><br/>1. Prepare new Sql Server 2005 server. <br/>2. Make note of all database names &amp; it associated database name.<br/>3. Stop all services in central admin.<br/>4. Take all database backup from source server.<br/>5. Detach the databases.<br/>6. move all databases to new server.<br/>7. Create all the database with same names mentioned in step2 in new server. <br/>8. Attach all the database with the respective backup moved.<br/>9.Redirect the farm to refer new database server<br/>10.
