QuestionIssue Excel directly opening in Web Browser

    When i click my excel file in document library , it's directly opening in web browser but i need it to open in Microsoft Office excel to update the values.
    This is not happening in all PC's but only in one PC.

    Kindly help me.

    Hi Hari2009,

    This is usually due to a version issue in Office on the client computer. I'm not sure what version does it when though. Compare versions between when works and what doesn't.

    I found that if a user have only View permission then the excel is opening in Web browser by default.

    You can set whether to open Excel file in web browser by default in  Document Library Settings->Advanced Settings-> Browser-enabled Documents. I don’t think it has something to do with the user permission.
