    November Meeting Information

    This month with see, Microsoft Regional Direct, MVP and director of SSW Adam Cogan is heading back down to Adelaide next month to present the great topic of "SharePoint – Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Public Websites". A very worthy presentation to attend and a chance to social network with 1 of 3 regional directors for Australia!

    Also, from across the Pacific, Brad and Ted will be presenting about the Advances in SharePoint Synchronization with ROSS, Developed by Repliweb.

    The agenda for this month’s evenings activities are:

    ·         5:30PM – Arrive, Relax and Network

    ·         6:00PM – Welcome & Introductions – Daniel Brown

    ·         6:15PM - SharePoint – Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Public Websites –Adam Cogan

    Description – SSW

     

    Adam Cogan of SSW will share his experience and lessons learnt on this project. Adam will also show you how to “sexify” the look and feel of your site (or “de-SharePointing with style”)

     

    Participants will gain an understanding of how to creat public websites using SharePoint. Also they will learn how to “sexify” the look and feel of their site (or “de-SharePointing with style”).

     

    Who should attend? Architects, Business Users, Developers, C-Level Management

     

    ·         7:00PM – Advances in SharePoint Synchronization and Content Deployment - Brad Helicher and Ted Orme – RepliWeb

     

    RepliWeb will demonstrate new methods for automating the deployment of content and other assets within SharePoint across multiple stages (dev -> UAT -> Prod) and dispersed geographies. 

    Participants will gain an understanding of best practices related to:

     

    ·         Maintaining separate environments for Dev, UAT, and Production as well as managing change control across those stages. 

    ·         How to leverage automation when deploying content, solutions, and other selective components throughout stages and farms

    ·         How to overcome a combination of large/frequent content changes, manual processes, and bandwidth limitations

    ·         How replicate select components (content, look & feel, etc.) to select targets.

    ·         7:45PM - Clean Up & Continued Social networking
