Error message "Terminal server not supported"?

Hi!
I installed SharePoint Designer 2007 on my Windows 2003 Standard SP1 machine. However, when I start the application, I get the following error message:
"This copy of microsoft sharepoint designer cannot be used on Terminal Server"
I am not using a Terminal Server. I installed and started it locally on my machine.
The system requirements mention Win2003SP1 as a supported OS. Where is the problem here?
