cannot write " @ " in a multiple line of text RTF field in all MOSS
- Hello,
I have many farm MOSS 2007 SP2 and all affected by a strange behaviour :
1 I have created a list with a multiple line of text ( leave all default options ) with RTF
2 try to write a " @ " .... you cannot do this! ( ALT+CTRL+@ or AltGr+@)
this strange behaviour disappear if you switch to an English Keyboard. I have the same problem with Italian or Spanish keyboard ... and I suppose any other different from English Keyboard.
It's a BUG?

Hi Alessandro Galanti
I found that “@" character neither exists on Italian keyboard nor on Spanish Keyboard.
You will get clear layout of Italian and Spanish keyboard from these links:
http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/keyboards/kbdsp.htm
http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/keyboards/kbdit.htmIf you're working with Italian or Spanish keyboard and you want to input “@" character, you should switch to English keyboard.
Thanks for your understanding!Best Regards!
- @ exists in all the keyboards also the Italian and Spanish languages... otherwise we cannot write an email address no? :)
I'm looking the http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/keyboards/kbdit.htm the key for "@" is the same of key of "ò".
Now try to switch your keyboard to italian and press AltGr+ò = @
if you use UK keybd, you can try to switch in italian keybd and press AltGr + ";" =@
If you press @ many times inside the multiple line of text RTF field, the focus on toolbar change and at the end of this if you press one more time @ the simbol @ appears correctly.
Thank you for your time
cheers

- Hi Lily Wu
I'm sorry for missunderstanding ...
On computer with Italian or Spanish keyboard you go to a list and you add new column - multi line(Rich Text Format) text column
You create a new item .
Customers tries to fill the RTF field with the char "@" ,using the Italian keyboard combination ctrl+Alt+;
Instead of putting the @ char, this combination moves to the RTF menu
