    What all are the limitations of the operation - 'Save Site as a template' in SharePoint 2007 ?

    I am saving one of the site as template with include contents option checked. however the folder descriptions (values added to the Folder description site column (Of Type : Rich Text) of the folder content type "Folder Description") values are missing when i create a new site using the template.

    Is there any other option, configurations available to get the missing contents out-of-box.

    Hello,

    If you do save the site as template, the customization, custom content types including columns or any workflows that are attached to that site are not reflected in the new site which you create it from the template. So these changes are to done manually again either using desginer or manual configuration.
