Is it possible to grant Sharepoint access to a distribution list that's in the Global Address List? If possible, how it is?

I'm not sure I understand you. Are you asking if you can grant security permissions to users that are in a distribution list that is in the Global Address List?
Are the users in the distribution list in your AD? Or are they external users?
