Migration

I do have a SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2007 migration question.
I have migrated several lists and document libraries from the old to the new, but my biggest issue I have now is that many of the files or lists have got people listed on the Created or Modified or even in the lists who are not in AD any more. This means that when I migrate them across they are not in the database to reference. How I deal with this?

How are you migrating between environments? If you're using a third party tool, some of them will allow you to set-up translation tables, such as swapping out old users for current ones.
It'll be a bit tricker if you're using OOB tools though.

As far as i know this is not possible. Maybe a third party tool like metavis or avepoint or axceller can help but. I think it is not possible.
kind regards,
Paul
