We have successfully resolved our verfication issue.  Turns out our CA administrator had to open up permissions completely on the CA server. This is a non-standard permission setting.  At least to the Root authority.  Not full permissions on the server itself.

Yes, they work.  What's the problem you're having?

Verification error after signing.  We have one sharepoint server with separate sql server; our own certificates (RA & Cert installed on SP server); all ActiveX controls installed;  site collection running in it's own app pool with a domain\user account.   MOSS is set to "display as webpage"  Signature Detils -- Webpage Dialog box indicates Verification error - An error occurred during signature verification.

Any suggestions?  I've recently asked our systems administrator to change the IIS Identity to a Network Service.   However, we are now getting a Service Unavailable" when trying to access the SharePoint site.  In InfoPath, Preview mode, the digital signature work great.  I'm sure because they are running in the client instead of a true browser-enable instance.  The forms ARE browser-enabled but as soon as we publish to our SharePoint site they no longer sign correctly giving us the "verfication error" message.

    Any ideas???

Exactly what permissions were opened up on your CA server?
