I had the search for my MOSS 2007 enterprise server working a couple weeks ago.  a Full crawl would take probably 20 minutes.

Last week the Search database got corrupted somehow and I had to restore it from a backup.

Now the search is taking 20 hours for a full crawl and keeps going I think it might be hung up or something.

Any idea on whats going on or what I should do to fix it?

I checked the sharepoint logs and windows event logs and the only errors I could find were these.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    Office Server Search

Since the crawl goes so fast have you tried resetting the Index and then performing a full crawl? If that does not work you may want to recreate the Search database.
