WSS3.0 and using workflows
- I have been doing MOSS 2007 workflows using sharepoint designer and VS2005. Now is it possible to create workflows straight onto wss3.0 and use infopath to bind to a task list ie worflow.xml ?
What prerequestes do I need ? How on a list item say for example you see a workflow status e.g Pending,completed?- Moved byMike Walsh MVPMVP, ModeratorTuesday, November 03, 2009 3:43 PMworkflow questions go to the workflow forum. (From:SharePoint - Development and Programming)

you can use InfoPath forms in WSS 3.0.

they will be open on client side. In WSS 3.0 you can not use them for web display. an InfoPath form can be displayed as web page in MOSS Enterpise but in WSS 3.0, it can be on the site but will be served to the user using his work station info path client.

- you can create workflow the same way for just WSS 3.0 site using SPD. You can configure workflow on a task list in WSS 3.0.

Workflow status is shown on an additional field that is added to teh list when you associate a workflow with it.
