I am following the MS SBS 2008 to SBS 2011 migration guide and everything is going well until I try to run the MS Baseline Configuration Analyzer 2.0. It installed and opens OK, but there is no package to select and all the check boxes are greyed out except help. The server say local (default), which it is. I've re-installed, rebooted, run as administrator, etc. Best Practice Analyzer is installed and runs OK. Can someone please help?

I just had the same problem with SBS 2003.  I found your post as one of the few questions with the same problem.  Then I happened to find the following link.  There are specific versions of the BPA, in particular for SBS.  I removed the version I installed and then used the specific BPA and it worked like a charm.

The problem is not resolved. BPA works fine. The problem is with Baseline Configuration Analyzer 2.0. Was on vacation so a delay in replying.

Not sure if this helps this late in the day:

I had issues even getting it to find a profile (computer) to run the Baseline Configuration Analyzer 2.0

I found out i needed to uninstall it, install the Migration Tool from the SBS2011 DVD and THEN re-install microsoft baseline confi analyzer 2.0

now it works. try that. I did of course, install the PowerShell thingy before trying any of this, and it has been left on.

According to Migration document by MS you should be able to run the tool BEFORE installing the migration tool !

What should be the solution ?
