Answered SBS 2011 client connect erro: 500 - Internal Server Error

    I have a workstation (work1), that was having some issues so I reinstalled Windows 7 Pro. No problem with that what so ever. Once that re-install was complete I proceded to use the http://connect feature. I then get the above listed error. Any help here will be most appreciated.

    Ok.  have you verified Binding settings etc as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2619402  for "SBS Client Deployment Applications" VD ??

    When you browse the site on server itself any even generated in evenr logs?


    Also refer kb http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942031 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943891 for detail explanation of error 500 and check if event matches with  information provided in kb's
