    I am using SBS 2008.

    My Exchange 2007 Stopping responding and no email was coming in from an external domain in a period of time.

    How can I retrieve those emails that were not received during that time?

    You can't.

    The sending server will either retry for a period of five days or, in the case of undeliverable, the sender will have received a reply to that effect. Nothing gets lost (usually), it's either delivered eventually or the sender is notified.
