Answered Connect to a Server desktop via Remote Web Workplace

    The Setup:

    SBS 2003 R2 Server

Windows 2008 Standard Server (SBS Domain Member) configured with Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services).

SBS 2003 Domain Users log into the Windows 2008 Server while on the LAN.

Users need to log into the Windows 2008 Server from outside the LAN via Remote Web Workplace.

    The Problem:

Users cannot log into the Windows 2008 Server via RWW as it does not appear in the list of Computers after they log into RWW and click "Connect to my Computer at work".

Users are not domain administrators. Only domain administrator users have access to log into the Windows 2008 Server via RWW as "Server Computers" appears for domain administrator users.

Is there anything i can do to make the Windows 2008 Server appear on the Computers list in RWW without making the users domain administrators?

    thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Please see the following blog by Susan Bradley as it might contain the clues you need to impliment this,

    Thanks for replying.

RWW on my SBS server does not have a "connect to my companys application sharing server".

So this registry hack does not apply.

    Any other suggestions?

Are you logging in as a normal user (non administrator)?

Here is a screenshot of one of the servers I work with in RWW

"Connect to my company's application-sharing server" was not showing up on RWW.

A colleague pointed me to this article: http://blog.mpecsinc.ca/2008/08/terminal-server-not-showing-up-in.html

After making the required registry changes "Connect to my company's application-sharing server" is now available on RWW.

    Thanks.
