Answered DCPromo fails also on my Migration from 2003 to 2011

My Migration stops also at dcpromo, Code 53, Server renamed needs to be rebootet.

I found my problem is at my 2003DNS:

it doesn´t resolve ´sbs2003´on LAN with tracert, ´sbs2003.mydomain.local´ will resolve.

I tried some fixes for this problem, deleting ´_msdcs.mydomain.local´, ipconfig /registerdns, stop+restart netlogon service,

adding wins to my sbs2011 candidate, and change tcp/ip settings to adding netbios over tcpip,

but there is no change. ping sbs2003 works, tracert sbs2003 from sbs2003 works, from LAN, server is not found.

How can I fix this DNS Problem, to go one with my migration?

    Best regards
    Wolfgang

what is the dns server set to on the 2011 NIC?

Is it pointing to the 2011 server or the 2003?

"I found my problem is at my 2003DNS"

does that implies you ran SBS BPA , netdiag , dcdiag , IT enviornmental health scanner on source server and all came up clean without reporting what you found?
