Sounds like a question for Symantec support surely?
Sorry, misread. Too early in the morning :-)
Is is this kind of stuff you're referring to?

Just a wild guess that you are trying to run isinteg on exchange database . -

Semantic database anylises or checker are used by Active Directory database corruption.
So before we are going to go further with guesing, maybe give us some more information, first which version SBS are you running, what is happend or why are you going to run this procedure?
Any information or details may help

Tuesday, January 22, 2013 2:22 PMI work with OnTechnology and am assisting in this effort. I apologize for the minimal detail.
We are on a SBS 2011 domain. We were attempting a DCPROMO on a new 2008R2 server.
It makes it all the way through to when it is replicating errors and throws an error "The replication operation encountered a database error"
We found online to take ntds offline and run a ntds Integrity check. This came back clean. However, still joining to the domain would throw the same error.
So we went further and ran ntdsutil -> semantic database analysis -> go fixup
This generated the errors we are seeing in the original post and now when doing an Integrity check it shows corrupted. I restored a backup of the ntds.dit file and get the same results. Integrity shows clean, however any attempt to inspect it further causes it to show corruption.
The problem we have is that since it was successfully backing up and not throwing errors, it doesn't appear we have a good backup (going back 30 days still throws the errors after doing the semantic database analysis.
We have attempted a ntdisutil -> files -> recover. This shows successful everytime it is run, but always comes back with errors.
We have also attempted esentutil on a copy of the ntds.dit file and it fails immediately. The commands we ran were
esentutl /g “c:\ntds\ntds.dit” /!10240 /8 /o
esentutl /p “c:\ntds\ntds.dit” /!10240 /8 /o
After turning on NTDS diagnostic debugging for replication events and Internal Processing the following errors show on the SBS Server during the DCPROMO

Jim,
Yes that was the semantic database analysis article we followed.

Cool. Unfortunately you have done most of the part what could or should have been suggested.
Last option is /p switch which any support in the world is going to recommend you (keeping in mind this is irrecoverable and totally unsupported)
I am coming to this because esentutl /g “c:\ntds\ntds.dit” /!10240 /8 /o switch is not publicly documented (or if it is I am not sure) .
