Unanswered Router Configuration (Reverse Proxy)

Unable to configure SBS because edge firewall uses multiple static public IP Addresses, it appears SBS wants to have it own dedicated router (ISP).  Internet access works through proxy server, but wizards fails; any workaround here TCP traffic allowed on port 80 & 443.

Should another NIC card be added to SBS, so routing to one of the static public IP Address is exposed?

Did you tell it you wanted to setup the router manually?

Attempting to setup manually does not work, because no direct connection to the Internet.  Browser works because of proxy server settings, but SBS does not use the proxy settings and all other traffic would be blocked at the edge.  Hence SBS assumes a dedicated router, using a single NIC.

How to configure through an edge firewall?

Maybe i don't follow what you mean, but when you go to configure the router using the wizard, you can just tell it you are going to handle the router configuration manually.

Or are you actually asking for help setting up the router in a RProxy Scenario?

SBS lives on a different subnet than the Public IP addresses, so with a single NIC the router configuration fails (No default gateway address /w Internet access).  The reason for a reverse-proxy.

SBS Subnet -->  DMZ <-- Firewall -- Router -- Internet

It is not possible to go around firewall.

This does work using Essential Business Server, but this included TMG/MBE which is used as the reverse proxy.
