Monday, December 31, 2012 9:28 PMI checked both servers and the client no errors. IP is 192.168.16.4 Client is on the AD domain and user from AD is member of Administrators group on local machine. Server name is sqlserver. This was working until recently. User name and password were changed 3 months ago,but worked until now. I checked user status on both servers. User has same name and password on both. domain is united.local on all computers.

Hi,
Can you ping servername to a correct ip address? Does this also occur to other users or other clients? Please read several previous similar discussion, which contains many possible causes and solutions:
Can't access share by server name but can by IP address
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/thread/da258cb9-9b13-4ff2-a72a-d54c2e39adfc
Cant access by "\\servername" to share folders on storage, have ping.

Can only access home shared folder using IP address
