We are using SMS 2003
i want to push IE8 on windows XP Sp2 computers.Currently we have IE6
to install IE8 there is prerequiste microsoft update which requires computers to reboot
I cannot force the Computer to reboot via SMS server after installing the update. as we have the policy not to reboot any client pc.
& Unless this update is installed IE 8 cannot be installed.
I have created 2 packages one for the update and one for IE8 and they are working fine. now how do i link them such that unless the prequisite update is installed and when client reboots his computer then IE8 should be installed.

In properties of the program of the IE8 package you can use "run another program first"

You can also create a script that includes both installations.
