Answered Dimension and measure group relations not reflecting in cube

    Hi,

    We have working cube on SSAS. Now we need to add new measure in existing measure group and need to create relationship with existing dimension table. I have added new column in view which i'm using for measure group and refreshed the data source view of cube. And also created the relationship with measure group and dimension using that column. But those changes not reflected in "Dimension usage" tab of cube. Also i validated data and there is no relation created between dimension and measure group.

    Please some one help me to resolve this issue which is very critical right now.

    SSAS version 2008 R2.

    in the "Dimension usage" did you add the new dimension by clicking on add cube dimension icon ?

    Hi,

    I'm trying to create relationship with existing dimension only. 

    Anyways i resolved the issue. i forgot to add relationship in Dimension Usage manually. i was in impression that when relation created in data source view it will reflect cube. But ideally we should create relation in dimension usage tab as well.
