Answered "Explore Data" in Data source view does not return any values

    Hi Team,

    I am connecting to ORACLE for my data source. Using BIDS as my Cube designer, I can browse all the data from SERVER EXPLORER. But when I am using DataSource View and click on "Explore data" it shows empty results.

    Please see the below images :

    SERVER Explorer Shows all the records :

    NO data when browsed from "Explore Data" from Dimension :

    Please update your views on whats going wrong here !

    Try Right-Clicking on the Table header in the Data Source view and go to Replace Table--> With names Query and construct a query of the table

    After you do that, there is a Run icon to see if the data will be returned in SSAS.
