    Hello everybody,

We would like to kindly inquire the respectful community to pay a token of your attention to our software product we are just releasing. We have developed two engines for associative search and data mining. One is being released as Sevana Shopping Cart analyzer, you can freely download its demo at

    http://www.sevana.fi/shopping_cart_analyzer.php

and another approach is available as an online demo and can be reached at

    http://www.sevana.fi/context_data_analysis.php

These tools are designed to give online and offline merchants a possibility to analyze purchase transactions made by their customers and make adjustmets to their marketing or/and sales strategies.

The main example would be that when your customer puts a product to his/her shopping cart on your site, your script analyzes the purchase and find associative products, which other customers used to buy together with the chosen by your buyer. Thus, you can offer those products immediately to your buyer, so he/she doesn't need to go through the site looking for them.

We would very much appreciate any comments, suggestions or any other feedback! Thanks a lot in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Sevana Oy

Does this use the Association Rules engine in SQL Server Analysis Services?

    Hi,

No, we are using our own proprietary Associations Rules Engine. We can even claim that it's better and faster than any other. Therefore we highly appreciate any feedback on it. We also provide online  associations rules engine for online data analysis and pattern search. This is also based on our proprietary algorithms.

If you are interested in any particular engine or solving any particular tasks, we'll be happy to discuss that with you. Please contact us.

Thanks to all considering our post!

This forum is for issues around using the data mining features of SQL Server Analysis Services, not for advertising proprietary products.  SQL Server Data Mining does supply an extensible architecture for you to embed your algorithms to take advantage of BI integration, deployment, DMX language, security, management, etc. as well as leveraging a large installed base.

You can learn how to embed your algorithms and viewers through the sample included with the SQL Server 2005 CTP as well as additional information on www.sqlserverdatamining.com.
