How to access report server in the network?
-
Saturday, January 26, 2013 2:04 AMI configured a report server in my local server machine. Everything went well and I can activate the report server website say http://mylocalpcname/reports. I logged in to other pc within the network and tried accessing it using the same url but to no avail. I checked the configuration of the sql server in my pc and the 'allow remote connection to this server' is checked. What am I missing here?

Hi,
try to shutdown firewall on server machine and use ip address instead of pc name.

Hello,
By default, the report server listens for HTTP requests on port 80. If Windows Firewall is turned on, the port that the report server is configured to use is most likely closed. To open a port, please use the Windows Firewall utility on the report server computer. For more details, please refer to:
Configure a Firewall for Report Server Access
