SQL Server 2012 Powerview Installation

Thursday, February 07, 2013 11:52 AMPlease provide me a complete pre-requisite to have a powerview in my machine.. like which operating system, sharepoint if required, SQl Server 2012... etc etc.. I am really got confused with the installation procedure for Powerview. Please provide me an end to end guide to get ready to create a powerview application from installation perspective.

read carefully and I suggest try to install on one machine and see how it goes... and next you can try to install to multi thier computer.
Please try in development environment if you really want to seperate the machine, I suggest to create virtual environment for multi tier environment.

Hi Kunal,
Please follow the steps below to finish the Powerview installation.
- SharePoint Server 2010 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)
- SQL Server 2012 Database Engine
- SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services and Reporting Services Add-in
- SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot for SharePoint
After you install these features, you will be able to do the following.
- Access the PowerPivot workbooks that you created in PowerPivot for Excel from SharePoint sites.
- Build interactive Power View reports based on PowerPivot workbooks in SharePoint.
- Create Report Builder reports when you launch Report Builder in SharePoint.
