Unanswered Need help with SubReport could not be shown error

    Hi All,

    Please bear with me as i want to explain my problem in layman terms as i'm new to this. From my pc i remoted onto a server and then i opened the REPORT BUILDER and developed a report and i added a sub report which i already created. Now at the top of the main report's body i added another subreport ( the purpose of this report is to show a symbol) (../myfolder/reprtconfiguration). Now on my pc when i open the report manager i can see this report under the folder named REPORT CONFIGURATION. When i RUN the report on the server in the report builder it works fine , but when i run the report on my desktop using report manager i get the "SUBREPORT COULD NOT BE SHOWN" error.PLEASE any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

    So you have deployed the report to the server and then  open IE on your machine and typed http://ssrs_server/reports/Pages/Folder.aspx, now you see the report but cannot run it, Am I right?

    Thanks Uri, i can run the report but the sub report wont display.

    Hi, does the subreport run independently without an error?

    thanks Krootz, but thats not my issue. In report builder bot my reports run. The sub report is on a shared source in the report manager, when i run the report in the report manager i can only see the main report and for the sub report part i get a message saying that the subreport could not be shown. This subreport when i see in the report manager is in a seperate folder and when i clicked on its datasource it shows as a shared datasource.
